Dr. Francisco Diaz-Mitoma is a physician-scientist and clinical researcher with over three decades of experience in vaccine development and translational medicine. He earned his medical degree and completed his research training in infectious diseases and immunology before serving as Professor of Medicine and Virology at the University of Ottawa. His work has focused on viral immunology and vaccine innovation, including contributions to the development of PreHevbrio, the first approved three-antigen hepatitis B vaccine, and to recent clinical studies investigating CMV-based immunotherapeutic vaccines for glioblastoma.
