Francisco Diaz-Mitoma Jr.

Co-Founder and CEO

Francisco began programming in ActionScript at sixteen and launched his first company, Titan Gaming, while studying at McGill University. From his dorm room, he built one of the first online video game tournament platforms and later acquired Xfire, a gaming network previously owned by Viacom. He went on to found the adtech company Virurl (later Revenue.com), working with leading global publishers to bring transparency and efficiency to digital media. In 2016, Francisco founded Bowhead Health to give people and physicians control over their health data. He led the design and global rollout of Bowhead's blockchain health data storage in partnership with a leading biopharma company in 3 continents before becoming CEO. Today, he works alongside a team of physicians and scientists to extend that same foundation of trust and privacy into precision medicine—turning data into tools that help doctors make better decisions, faster. Francisco co-authored the chapter "Blockchain Implementation for Decentralized Real-World Research" in the book Blockchain in Healthcare: Analysis, Design, and Implementation, published by Springer in 2023.
